Join the Toronto chapter of the Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA) for an inspiring evening of socializing and design stories with three design experts each sharing a story about their diverse design practices.
Laura Karik will draw upon her 20+ years of expertise to explore how design is adapting to emerging trends and technology.
Elton Leung will discuss the challenges and rewards of crowdfunding his idea into a product, the lessons he learned along the way and whether he would do it again.
Steve Copeland will draw on his 35+ years of developing products to reflect on the development of the Resistol Rideshare cowboy helmet, the only traditional western-style cowboy hat that is ASTM/SEI certified for protective headgear used in horse sports and horseback riding.
In this in-person and online hybrid event, each panellist will begin with a short slideshow presentation, followed by a roundtable discussion moderated by IDSA-Toronto chapter vice-chair Harpreet Singh, with questions from the audience.
